The short version

Hangar 64 stores your account and your collection so you can use them on any phone. Card photos are only used to read the toy number and are not kept. No ads, no selling your data, no tracking you across other apps.

What we store

Account: your name and email from Sign in with Apple or Google. With Apple you can choose to hide your email; then we only see Apple’s private relay address.

Collection: the cars you add, each copy’s condition, whether you scanned it or added it by hand, and when.

Favorites and pending scans: the castings and brands you follow, and toy numbers you saved for later.

Reports: problems and ideas you send from the app, with the screen, app version and phone OS version so we can reproduce them.

Scan count: how many cards you scanned each day, to keep the daily scan limit fair.

Card photos

When you scan, the app crops the photo to the card and sends it to our server, which asks Anthropic’s Claude AI to read the code on the card. The photo is used for that one request and is not saved by Hangar 64. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms, which do not allow using it to train their models.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, a crash report (phone model, OS version, app version and what went wrong in the code) is sent to Sentry so we can fix it. It does not include your collection or photos.

Who helps run the app

Supabase (database and sign-in), Google and Apple (sign-in), Anthropic (reading card photos), Sentry (crash reports) and Expo (app builds and updates). Each only gets what it needs for its part.

Your choices

Export: My Collection → Export CSV gives you a copy of everything you own.

Delete: Home → Delete my account permanently deletes your account, collection, favorites, pending scans and reports right away.

Questions: use “Report a problem or share an idea” on the Home screen, or email support@hangar64.com.

Kids

Hangar 64 is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on the web with a new date at the top.
